This museum commemorates the history of the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad—a late 19 th and early 20 th Century shortline that ran between Colfax and Nevada City. The museum collection includes the only surviving NCNG steam locomotive No. 5 plus other operating narrow gauge steam locomotives including a Porter and Heisler type. |

This park is part of the California State Railroad Museum located in Jamestown in the Mother Lode region of California. The grounds include the preserved roundhouse, shops and depot of the Sierra Railroad in their original configuration. This railroad and facilities have been used for the filming numerous western movies. | ||||||
