One of the elements which draws so many people to studying the history of railroads is the emense size and shear power of railroading equipment. Unfortunately those same qualities make being around railroads potentially dangerous. The PSRHS is dedicated to promoting safety along the railroad right of ways. To that extent we work closely with Operation Lifesaver to educate the public about railroad safety. We also work and Union Pacific Railroad personnel when our events approach the active right of way.Please take advantage of the safety education materials available through Operation Lifesaver and it's affliates.
